2024 in Review: Family Photography + Commercial Photography in Kalamazoo Michigan and Beyond

This year has been a journey of celebrating family and commercial photography across Kalamazoo, Michigan, and beyond! From the heart of Kalamazoo to the Upper Peninsula’s farmlands, I’ve had the privilege of documenting the grit, passion, and joy that define our communities. Whether capturing the laughter of families, the determination of local businesses, or the artistry of Michigan’s farm-to-table movement, each moment told a story worth remembering.

Here’s a glimpse into the work that made 2024 unforgettable:

Family Photography in Kalamazoo That Celebrates Connection

From golden-hour portraits in Kalamazoo parks to cozy in-home sessions, every family brought their unique energy and love to the lens. There’s nothing quite like capturing the playful energy of kids or quiet, intimate moments shared among loved ones.

Showcasing Local Businesses in Kalamazoo and Beyond

Michigan’s small businesses are built on hard work and creativity. This year, I loved highlighting the passion behind restaurants, makers, and entrepreneurs who breathe life into their dreams. Whether photographing bustling kitchens or beautifully crafted products, I aimed to tell the story of their dedication.

Farm-to-School Stories Worth Telling

One of my favorite parts of 2024 was working with farmers and producers who dedicate themselves to feeding our communities. Through vibrant imagery, I documented the journey from farm to school, celebrating the farmers who nourish our state and the chefs who bring their produce to life.

Political Photography: Documenting Leadership in Action

In addition to photographing families and businesses, this year I contributed to the political landscape. From professional headshots for local leaders to documenting the Secretary of Labor’s visit to Michigan, these sessions highlighted the passion and dedication of those working to make a difference.

Why I Do What I Do

Photography is more than just images—it’s storytelling. It’s about freezing a moment in time to honor the hard work, resilience, and joy of the people I photograph. Whether I’m working with families, farmers, or business owners, my goal is always to create photos that celebrate your story and reflect the pride you feel in your journey.
