Located just outside Marquette, MI, Northwoods Test Kitchen is breathing new life into the farm-to-school movement. This historic supper club turned culinary innovator now focuses on locally sourced ingredients, with kitchen manager and chef Alex Palzewicz and her team. Palzewicz's commitment to using local produce from her native land shines through in the kitchen's ever-changing, creative menu. As Northwoods Test Kitchen expands its partnerships with local farms and purveyors, they're gearing up to bring fresh, nutritious food to Marquette area schools. This not only bolsters local agriculture but also ensures students have access to healthy, locally grown produce. During my visit, I captured images of freshly harvested golden beets and vibrant swiss chard, showcasing the colorful bounty that will soon grace school cafeterias thanks to Northwoods Test Kitchen.
